Because pelletizing has requirements not only on the grade of concentrate powder, but also on the fineness of concentrate powder, which often needs to reach 0.074mm particle size content of ≥ 90%, which can be achieved by using two-stage grinding in production, and because iron minerals in iron ore are often embedded with uneven particle size, there are often different degrees of under-grinding or over-grinding in actual production, resulting in the grade of concentrate powder can not meet the requirements, and the fineness of concentrate powder is also difficult to ensure, It affects the quality of pellets in subsequent operations. After being used as raw material for pelletizing production, its physical properties of pelletizing are not ideal. In order to ensure that the physical and chemical indexes and thermal indexes of pellets meet the standards of ironmaking raw materials, and at the same time extend the time of rotary kiln agglomeration, and reduce the amount of binder added, the proportion of hematite concentrate is generally controlled below 50% in pelletizing production. For mining enterprises rich in poor hematite resources, in order to comprehensively utilize hematite resources, it is imperative to further improve the proportion of hematite concentrate in pellet raw materials.
