Causes And Solutions Of Abnormal Temperature Of Grinding Roller Bearing Of Grinding Mill

The roller bearing is the core part of the grinding mill. It operates in the complex environment of high temperature, shock, heavy load and low speed. Therefore, if the maintenance is improper, various faults will occur. In particular, the abnormal temperature of the grinding roller bearing will lead to frequent power failure of the mill's electric switch, which will seriously affect the production progress.

 

1. Insufficient lubrication

Cause analysis:

The reason for the shortage of lubricating oil is generally due to the selection of the type of lubricating oil. Generally, the working temperature of the roller bearing is relatively high, and the temperature inside the bearing is close to 200 ℃. If the type of lubricating oil is wrong, the oil used for lubricating will be deteriorated or evaporated due to high temperature and pressure, thus losing the function of protecting and lubricating the roller bearing. In this way, the heat generated by the friction of the roller bearing will be increased, resulting in the abnormal temperature rise of the bearing. In addition, if the lubricating oil is too little or not replaced in time, it may lose its original effect. Therefore, the roller bearing cannot be fully lubricated, and the bearing temperature will rise, resulting in premature bearing damage.

 

Treatment Method:

In order to ensure the lubrication of the roller bearing, the viscosity and stable synthetic grease at high temperature should be selected as far as possible. The lubricating oil must be replaced in time when the bearing has been running for four months, and the lubricating oil shall not be less than 40 liters each time.

 

2. A Large Amount of Powder Enters The Bearing Inside The Grinding Roller

Cause analysis:

If there is a large amount of powder in the internal bearing, the powder will be bonded with the lubricating oil, and become a viscous and poor fluidity powder oil mixture. It will not only not play any lubricating role on the bearing, but also aggravate the wear of the bearing, making the temperature of the grinding roller bearing rise abnormally.

 

Treatment Method:

The oil seal shall be replaced immediately when it is found that the temperature of the bearing increases abnormally due to the powder entering the bearing. Meanwhile, the quality of lubricating oil shall be reviewed to ensure that it does not deteriorate. If there is too much powder accumulated in the bearing, and the powder oil mixture cannot be discharged along with the oil outlet, then the internal end cover of the bearing can be opened. Consequently, the powder oil mixture can be discharged by means of compressed air or filling hydrogen, and then new lubricating oil can be filled.

 

3. Seal System Damaged

Cause analysis:

The sealing air system is a key link to ensure that the oil seal of grinding roller is not damaged. The seal air system is composed of seal blower and air duct. The blown air starts from the seal fan and finally reaches the seal air duct. The grinding roller installed on the grinding plate of the mill seals the air to form a space. In this way, a ring-shaped seal cleaning system can be formed. It not only ensures that the powder will not enter the roller bearing, but also prevents the powder from damaging the oil seal. All links are closely linked and indispensable. If there are problems in any link, air leakage or sundries in the air duct, the pressure of the air seal ring will be reduced and the air volume will be insufficient. Such an annular air sealing system cannot be formed, resulting in a series of conditions such as oil seal damage, powder entry and bearing temperature rise.

 

Treatment Method:

When the temperature of the roller rises abnormally, the production shall be stopped immediately and the investigation shall be conducted. From the seal fan, check step by step along the direction of the wind. In order to timely close the loopholes, seal up and unseal. Due to the poor working environment of the mill and a large number of powders for a long time, the filter screen of the fan is easy to be blocked. So the technicians should clean it frequently and try to do it once a half month. Moreover, because of the high temperature of the working environment, the air duct is easy to soften and deform or air leakage occurs. At the same time, it should be checked once a half month to kill the fault in the cradle.

 

4. Damage of Roller Bearing

Cause analysis:

The grinding roller bearing pays special attention to the quality of the bearing, but it will also be partially damaged when it is operated for a long time. For example, ball wear and loose interface. At this time, the temperature of the roller bearing must be abnormal.

 

Treatment Method:

The production shall be stopped immediately, and maintenance inspection or disassembly shall be carried out when the grinding roller bearing surface is not smooth, local rotation is blocked, the left and right swing amplitude is increased, and there is noise inside, or the bearing temperature is overloaded or fluctuated up and down at the moment when the mill is started. In case of serious damage, the roller bearing shall be replaced in time to ensure production safety.

 

5. Too Much Grease And Impurities Inside

Cause analysis:

The running resistance of the roller bearing is relatively large, and there is too much grease accumulation when the machine is just started.

 

Treatment Method:

Opening the bearing side end cover Immediately to take oil sample for test. If the metal content in the grease exceeds the standard, it means that the bearing has been worn. Stop production and replace the bearing.
