Selection of Vertical Mill Screw Mechanism

Vertical mills are majority applied in fine or ultra-fine grinding of metal ore. The equipment crushes the ore with screw force, so, the screw mechanism is very important.

The screw mechanism has two structures-single-end and double-ends. The two structures different in helix angle. Single-end structure has smaller angle, so the rotation speed and starting torque will be smaller, but the energy output will be low. Double-ends structure has large angle, so the rotation speed and starting torque will be higher, the power and energy output will also be higher. The screw mechanism should be selected according to raw material.
