Planning and Layout of Graphite Industry in Bazhong City

Recently, the Bazhong Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee held its forty-eighth meeting. The meeting heard and considered the city people's government on the city's graphite industry development report, and formed a deliberative opinion. The Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress of China will recommend Bazhong graphite industry to be included in the national and provincial industrial planning and layout of the key projects.

Pazhong has a very rich graphite resources, is now proven reserves of 53.605 million tons. The total reserves of more than 1 trillion tons ranking second in Asia, mainly distribute in the Nanjiang River and Yangba Jianshan area, the average grade is 7.89%. Pinghe graphite ore resources have an average geological grade of 23.58%, the highest grade of about 35%, the lowest grade 13.85%.

Bazhong graphite mine is still in the exploration and experimental stage, has not yet formed large-scale mining. Most of Bazhong graphite blocks are open-pit mines, is not difficult for mining.

It is understood that Bazhong intends to build two graphite industrial park, a graphite primary processing park, to be located in the South River; the second is high-end graphite products park, to be located in Bazhong Economic Development Zone, the annual output will reach up to 500 billion yuan. At present, Bazhong is preparing to build three graphite enterprises, of which two are graphite production enterprises, one is graphite mine prospecting business.
